These are the Magnum Opus Coven Satanic Holidays. The most important holiday is a Coven member’s birthday. Note: Satanic holiday dates change annually and differ from coven to coven. “Sabbats” meaning “to revel” are our most important Satanic holidays. “Esbats” are regular meetings or ritual observances other than Sabbats.
For Magnum Opus Satanic Coven, rituals are focused on spending time communing with Sathanas. We do not simply want to achieve physical advantages, we express a wish to get closer to Sathanas himself. We regard this as a way of committing ourselves more deeply to the satanic path we have chosen. Rituals such as the Satanic Black Mass, draw devil-worshippers into closer communion and direct interaction with the devil Himself.
There are only two times of the year when the Earth's axis is tilted neither toward nor away from the sun, resulting in a "nearly" equal amount of daylight and darkness at all latitudes. These events are referred to as "Equinoxes" (Vernal & Autumnal). "Solstices" (Summer & Winter): The Summer Solstice occurs at the moment the earth's tilt toward from the sun is at a maximum. The Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year. Below are the satanic holidays.
Note: The Blood Ritual is also know as Blut Rituell and Sanguine Ritual. The Sex Ritual is also known as the Coitus Ritual.
There are certain times that magick contains more energy and taking advantage of the surges is beneficial for the Satanic practitioner. The desires of the practitioner are carried directly to the source and their wishes are granted by Satan and the Hosts of Hell. Those are wondrous experiences and they open the door for more advanced magical operations.
The lunar cycles do not control Satanists when planning rituals and magical workings. As I have said in previous blogs, there is more magical energy during a full moon and a new moon than there is at other time and this does benefit by increasing the energy force available however, Satan nor Demons are bound to “full moon arrivals” and are free to manifest as they desire. When you call a demon, it does not matter what phase the moon is in at that time. If you are sincere in your intention and approach, you will get results; I have witnessed it countless times.
The calling of the blessed guest from Hell should always be the first order of business when conducting a working. You need to establish the connection early so you can communicate your will and desires to your “guests”. As the energy is heightened, the being will connect with you and the ritual performed. When the events unfold, some new practitioners will become frightened; it is natural, after all what they are witnessing for the first time is in direct conflict with their physical world. Even the new initiates who are excited about experiencing these manifestations will be taken aback when the event actually takes place. No amount of mental preparation will be adequate.
Anton Lavey wrote and spoke many times about Satanic ritual sacrifice by proxy. Satanists will perform these rituals from time to time since people will inevitably wrong one another. Ancient Satanic cultures practiced actual sacrifice of animals and even humans. In modern times, everyone like to “smooth over” the sacrifice subject and always use the “voodoo doll” analogy.
In the past, sacrifice was not by proxy, teddy bear nor Barbie doll; it was a real sacrifice. This was no different from the virgin being thrown into a volcano to appease a tribal god. The Satanists believed the blood (especially from a newborn child) held magical properties that would enable the energy to be heightened during rituals. Some covens believed that the infliction of sustained pain by the victim would greatly increase this energy.
For instance, increasing the pain of an animal such as a goat would release adrenaline into the bloodstream so when the animal’s throat was finally cut and the blood drained into the ceremonial chalice, increased power could be extracted by drinking the blood mixed with certain drugs. Aleister Crowley experimented extensively at the Abbey of Thelema in Sicily. One approach was to have sexual intercourse with and cut the animal’s throat at the time of the human’s orgasm. The blood was ingested and a higher spiritual plane was reportedly reached.
The workings of the ancients have taught us a lot in the form of “what works and what does not work”. As Satanists explore the realms of magick in the future, I am confident other workings will be devised and new ways to harness Satanic energy will be found. Until then, we must always reach for the outer limits of magical operation and strive to discover new territory for the next generations to come.
There are those in Satanic Magick who practice Cognitive Magick; the use of the mind for the sake of magick ritual. Some practice this exclusively and never actually enter an inner sanctum except in their minds. There have been doubts concerning the effectiveness of this method and some actually claim greater success resulting from rituals than that of “in body” rituals. The one thing that is known for sure is the practice does exist.
The power of the mind is at the core of magick and the practice of rituals. Even the rituals performed as in a group setting is at its essence – cognitive. The thoughts of the practitioner actually drive the ritual and even the “sacrifice ritual” must use the imagination to be fully realized. Thoughts and ideas are what stimulate the Magus to open a ceremony and expect a result from a casting of a spell or hex. Without the powerful mind, we as followers of the LHP are rendered impotent.
Astral Projection has opened the way for the Satanist to use that all-powerful organ – the brain. Trans-versing time and slipping the bounds of gravity, the practitioner can easily create, perform and participate in the results of magick without physically leaving the comfort of their home.
As for exercising the imagination, children create a virtual reality in their minds from the age of toddler. As a child grows older, the accepted norms of life indelibly snuff out the power of the mind in exchange for being accepted by peers. No one wants to feel like an outcast at such an impressionable and critical age of development and so those things – paranormal and otherwise – are discarded from the child’s psyche. From that point onward, the magick is forgotten (or ignored) and the conformance in society takes priority.
There are however, a select few who do not forget; do not abandon that which is given to us all. They may leave the path for a while or even learn to mask their talent but for those few, magick remains real and the cognitive ability remains firmly intact. In the case of a Satanist who takes this gift and fully develops it, the sky is not the limit………….there are no limits.
